The absolute best information is in SpaceBankers! If you are interested in affiliate marketing, SpaceBankers is a fantastic guide and very specific to get you rolling. I spent the $99 for the Ebook and have never regretted it. I enjoy MLM projects but affiliate marketing is the least expense way to generate income. No monthly fees or downlines to worry about.

Today, all the experts are telling you to use sites like eBay to earn income streams from your home. However, did you know that there are sites that get four times the traffic of eBay and even Amazon? It may further surprise you that these types of sites are social networks such as MySpace and Facebook. Don't believe me?
Watch this video: https://paydotcom.com/r/9179/debby4d/20731029/

It is no surprise then, that Facebook was recently valued at over $15 billion. Why the high value on sites that simply claim to be "a place for friends?" Well, the truth lies in the fact that these sites are not just hubs for high school and college students. If that were the case, why would every 2008 Presidential candidate feel the need to create profiles on both of these sites? Instead, these social networks have become incredible marketing tools, and some are exploiting the opportunities there to rake in profits.

You never hear about these opportunities, however, because social networks are thought to be just places that pre-teens go to talk about the hot girls in high school. I guess it would make sense, then, that a teenager cracked the social network code and made $754 in one day thanks to MySpace.

Here's the proof: https://paydotcom.com/r/9179/debby4d/20731029/It's interesting to note that, while some people fret about affiliate traffic, eBay sales being low, and Google cracking down on Adwords and making search engine optimization more difficult, sites like MySpace and Facebook continue to grow by leaps and bounds. There's got to be SOME way to tap that traffic and turn it into revenue, doesn't there?

Imagine if you could harness the millions of hits that MySpace and Facebook get on a daily basis. Alexa.com estimates that these networks get as many page views does Google! Therefore, if you could redirect just a small fraction of that traffic to yourself, you can expect to see amazing results.

Social networks continue to grow, and they are the biggest example of the Web 2.0 revoluation. If you have an existing business, you are missing out on thousands of leads and sales if you are not investing time marketing on the social networks. If you don't have a business, social networks give you a very easy way to build one.
Again, here's the video that shows the power of the social networks: https://paydotcom.com/r/9179/debby4d/20731029/

After the Storm

We were out most of the day on Sunday, September 14. Mike, Dan and I did what we normally do. We went to Cracker Barrel for lunch then went for a long Sunday drive up towards Mansfield then headed back home to Columbus. No matter where we went it was windy. We just didn't realize how windy.

Around 4 o'clock we dropped Dan off at his house and decided to go to a movie at Easton Town Center. After the movie we were going to eat at Max & Ermas at the mall, but the lights were out. We figured they probably just closed early because it was Sunday night. As we opened the door from the mall to the parking garage the wind almost blew us over. We still weren't aware of the affect the wind had had on the entire state of Ohio. We got in the car to go look for a restaurant.

I turned on my cell phone and immediately got a call from son, Evan, asking me if there was power at Easton. They were looking for a place to eat and power was out at their house and surrounding area. They live not far from us, so, I immediately assumed our power was out also. They found a Taco Bell open in the Easton area and we went to a steakhouse nearby. We were shocked at the number of people waiting to get in. We finally got seated and served and were slowly becoming aware that this wind storm was a pretty big deal.

Driving home a number of traffic lights were out and the road we normally would have taken home was blocked off with fallen trees. We finally got home and parked behind the house where we always do. It was dark and we hadn't seen the front yard yet. We were glad to see that our 60 foot pine tree behind the house was still in tact.

The power had gone off but had come back on before we got home, so we were truly one of the lucky ones. We heard many sirens going down our street and they seemed to turn south of us right at our intersection. Mike went to investigate and a house one block away was on fire. Flames were shooting 30 feet in the air above the roof. Mike came home and because it was dark, still hadn't noticed the front yard.

The next morning we opened the front door to see our large Sweet Gum tree on our front porch. Attached are pictures of our yard. Mike is cleaning up as I type. No damage other than some paint removed from the house and maybe some gutter damage.

Son, Evan, has power. Son, Todd, still doesn't and won't until next Sunday. I'm sure anyone reading this who lives in Ohio has seen and felt the devastation this storm has caused. Grocery stores have no lights and ice is scarce. Restaurants (if they're open) are running out of food.

The good news is we know this will end soon. You can't help but think, however, about people who have had to endure this for years as the result of mother nature or war.

Energy

I remember when we used to go for Sunday drives without thinking how much money it was costing us for gas. Fortunately, we are still able to take our scenic drives, but it's frustrating and stressful when we have to fill the gas tank at such exorbitant prices.

Last week I went grocery shopping at Giant Eagle because you get 20 cents off per gallon for every 50 dollars spent. Because Mike and I eat out often, I buy restaurant gift cards there which adds to my gas discount. When I went into the store to start shopping gas was $3.47 a gallon. After getting my gift cards and groceries I was glad to see I would get $1 off per gallon. I then drove directly to the pump and discovered during the half hour I was in the store gas had gone up 30 cents a gallon to $3.77. Less than a week later, gas today is $3.99. This is crazy!

I just printed off an Ebook for my husband. He's going to attempt to build a solar generator. The instructions from this book are written in plain english so you don't need to be an engineer to understand them. There are many good ideas including how to build a wind turbine for your yard with complete instructions and many pictures. Once you purchase the ebook they offer you the opportunity to purchase, at a discount, another ebook on converting your car engine to water power. I purchased this also but it looks MUCH more complicated and this project will be put on the back burner for sure. If anyone is interested, below is the link to the site. It's worth taking a look. I will keep you all posted on how the solar energy project is progressing.

Rock Mill

Mike wanted to visit the Rock Mill in Fairfield County, Ohio after reading an article about it in the paper. So, last Sunday, Mike, Dan (my brother in law) and I went for a drive to Lancaster, Ohio to try and find the Rock Mill. After winding around several long and hilly country roads we finally stumbled upon the Rock Mill off of Lithopolis Rd.

The Rock Mill was built originally in 1799 along with a distillery and tavern but was abandoned when the settlers and indians forced the builders to leave because of the disturbances caused by the alcohol. The current structure was built in 1824 and operated until 1854 with the death of the owner.

Today, Rock Mill stands 4 1/2 stories tall and rests on a stone foundation. The mill has a frame construction made of oak with a red tin roof. I believe it is in the process of being restored. You can view the Mill from the road but you must cross a covered bridge to get up close. Behind the mill is the water source, which is great for picture taking. There is a 42 foot drop from the base of the mill to the surface of the water below. A waterfall from about 25-30 ft above the pool contributes to the beauty of the area. The pool of water below is from 17-25 feet deep.

The reason I know about these measurements is that while we were visiting a group of teenage boys were leaping from various spots above the pool into the water. I asked one of them how far down it was and he pulled a measuring tape from his car and measured it. Even though there are no trespassing signs posted, the kids seemed like they were regular visitors.

The MLM Experience

I truly believe in MLM (multi level marketing). I think it's a great concept. Without belonging to a large company and all the red tape that goes with it, people can work together to earn a substantial income. There are just too many options out there and you can spend beaucoup bucks trying to find the one or two programs that fit your needs.

I think it's a good idea to have multiple streams of income, as with any investment diversification is probably best. I have joined and quit many plans simply because it seems I was pouring a lot of money and time into a program that didn't seem to be giving back to me. I've decided to keep it simple (as possible).

The first program I joined was GDI, Global Domains International. This was a good fit for me because it's really simple. $10 a month for the dot ws domain name and all the tools you need to create a cool website. The business end of the program is simple also. Each person that purchases a domain name by logging in through me (www.freedom.ws/goodfriends in case your interested) becomes part of my downline and I receive $1 a month from there membership. It's best not to try and recruit friends for these programs because they will hate and avoid you. I was lucky. I placed a few google ads and had some assertive people joined up under me. You get paid through 5 levels of your downline and so I get a nice (not large) check each month from GDI. Even if I didn't, I would stay with them because I really like their setup and want to keep my domain name.

I also belong to FreebieForce (http://debby4d.makemoneywithfreebies.com ). This is also very simple and clearcut with no tricks added. They have a list of all kinds of free mechandise, coupons, etc that are available that most people don't know about. The cost is $9.95 a month, which you can get more than that in free stuff if that is your wish. The same principle applies as with GDI. You get paid based on your "genealogy" (downline). I like this program because they do almost all the work for you. The send out emails to "pre-enrollees", people who are interested but not sure if they want to commit to the $9.95/month. Also, you don't feel uncomfortable talking to people about this one because of all the free stuff they can get.

The Mammoth List (www.mammothlist.net/?r=9901) is interesting. It's like a legal chainletter. I don't know why everyone in the world doesn't do this one. People pay a one time fee of $12 to get on your list. You receive $2 for each person that you get to be on the 1st line of your list and $2 on down through 5 levels. You can get as many people on each level as you can. Nothing to buy, no monthly fees. You just pay to become part of someones list. You can't get easier than this, totally uncomplicated.

I joined Unselfish Wealth (http://unselfishwealth.com/?id=20845) because I like the idea they promote of paying it forward. However, this one is a bit tricky. The way this one works is you get 4 people only in your first line, after that the next person you get spills over to you downline. So, your upline is helping to fill your downline and the theory is that your downline won't drop out as long as they are being helped by their upline. The catch is after you sighn up for the $5 monthly charge you are referred over to travelencia which you must join in order to participate in the Unselfish Wealth program. I think this costs about $60 with an additional monthly fee. This is all fine and good if it works and your upline helps generate your downline. So far, for me, I have no downline. It's only been a week and I'm going to give it more time.

I also try to generate traffic to these sites. I certainly don't expect a handout. I joined Easy Hits 4 U (www.easyhits4u.com/?ref=debby4d ). The concept here is you accumulate credits by surfing and you apply these credits toward your sites which are displayed for others to surf. You can buy credits or earn them by clicking. I try to earn at least 100 credits a day. I don't know yet whether I'm wasting my time with this but I will keep you updated.
